Tell us a little bit about yourself, why you chose to work at Choice Hotels and your experience thus far.
One of the things I value most about working at Choice is the spirit of innovation that continually drives positive change throughout the organization. Every team in the company has the ability to drive new ideas to promote further growth. I've been with Choice for several years now, and I still get excited about the possibilities to contribute.
How are the shared services of Choice Hotels enabling the company to become more technologically innovative?
The technology that drives how we interact with guests and franchisees has seen tremendous change over the past couple of years. Choice is implementing new systems and tools that will allow for greater personalization, faster response times and a better overall experience.
What is the process you have put in place for collaboration? How does the work environment encourage employees to continue learning and honing their skills?
Collaboration is a huge part of what we do and of what makes us successful. In today's connected world, that's the only way to operate. The Shared Services teams have engrained this into their culture, so it naturally comes into play with every project. You don't have to think about being collaborative; you just do it.
Where is the most energy radiating from in the office? What project, team or department is creating the most buzz? How?
The overall growth trajectory for the organization is extremely exciting, and promotes a lot of buzz across all departments. We're implementing new systems, programs and technologies that will enable continued growth well into the future, and associates can see how their efforts directly impact the company's success.
What is the most rewarding part of the work you are doing?
Because the IT teams have millions of interactions with guests and franchisees every year, they have the ability to strengthen Choice's positioning and reputation at every turn. The teams also have direct accountability for supporting Choice's overall corporate objectives.
