Description |

A self motivated person, who enjoys meeting and interacting with people. Answers incoming calls. Directs calls to appropriate location. Assists internal callers and directs calls to appropriate location. Job requires a highly diligent and proficient person with a professional appearance. Greets visitors to Choice Hotels International Headquarters and prepares visitor passes as required. Directs most deliveries to Facility Services for execution. Receives and directs pre-approved deliveries to appropriate departments. Works with guard service to maintain a secure lobby.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate Incoming Calls:
- Direct calls to appropriate associate
- Assists with directory updates as appropriate.
Coordinate Visitors:
- Greets all visitors in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Ensure all guests are issued badges
- Maintains visitor log
- Contacts departments as needed to inform of guest arrivals and directs /communication with guest as needed. Maintains Reception Area:
- Replenish coffee station as needed.
- Maintain supply of literature as used.
- Assists coordination of reservation flat screen system
- Coordinates with Facility Services to keep area presentable (including rest rooms)
Other Administrative Duties as assigned:
- During slow periods, support sister department with administrative duties. (phone coverage, filing, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent years of experience required.
- Two to four years experience in similar position highly preferred.
- Switchboard experience, with Lucent/Avaya Definite PBX console a plus
- Professional demeanor, excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Has a clear & distinct articulation of the English language, second language (Spanish) a plus
- Requires on time performance history
- Ability to handle high volume complex calls and direct them to appropriate parties or locations
- Ability to handle high pressure situations with occasional difficult customers
- Required professional dress at all time no casual dress on Fridays
- Ability to be flexible in duties and job related work to meet customer needs
