Paid Leave
At Choice we have provided our associates a wide range of paid time off programs. While Choice is a dynamic and exciting place to work, we want all of our associates to have a work life balance.
Holiday Pay — Full-time associates are compensated for observed holidays.

Vacation — Choice provides all full-time associates time off with pay based on your length of service with the company. Based on your position, you can accrue up to 12 days of vacation in your first year.
Sick Leave — Choice Hotels provides 8 days of sick leave per year for full-time associates unable to work due to illness or injury. You can accrue up to 288 hours of sick time.
Converting Sick Time to Vacation Time — Associates can choose to convert extra sick time at 2:1 ratio up to 64 hours of sick time. This gives a choice associate the opportunity to receive up to an extra 4 days of vacation time!
Personal Leave — Each calendar year full-time associates are eligible for up to three paid personal leave days based upon your hire date.
Volunteer Release Leave — Choice is committed to its role as a good corporate citizen and believes that providing paid leave time for volunteerism fosters a sense of community spirit and involvement among associates, also that such involvement is beneficial to the associate, the community, and Choice.
Jury and Witness Duty — Choice Hotels International offers up to ten days (in a twelve month period) paid time off to serve Jury Duty or Witness Duty to all full-time associates with more than 90 days of active service.
Bereavement Pay — Choice Hotels International provides full-time associates with paid time off in the event of a death of an immediate family member.
